  24. AMUG's Training Expo... Huge Success!
  25.  On May 4, 1991 many great trainers gathered and taught twelve classes for AMUG
  26. members at the Howard Johnsons Plaza hotel. Each class was 2 hours and over 480
  27. seats were registered for instruction. Subjects that were the most popular
  28. included HyperCard, PageMaker, Illustrator 3.0 and Word. Each of these classes
  29. had 70 - 50 attendees. Other subjects taught include Excel, Beginners,
  30. Intermediate, Works, Networks, FileMaker Pro and Hard Disk Recovery. Everyone
  31. that attended really had a good experience and the only resonding theme we
  32. heard over and over was when is the next one.

  34. As a result of the enthusiasm AMUG will attempt to provide an all day seminar
  35. with the same quality of instruction every six months. In the future, we would
  36. love to see a weekend Macintosh boot camp with training and cocktails on
  37. Friday, all day classes on Saturday with a pool party that evening and
  38. discounted hotel accommodations for those desiring to stay close to the action.

  41. We hope this information can help other User Groups in their planning of
  42. similar events. If there is anything we can do to help please feel free to ask.
  43. We found a lot of new faces involved after organizing the event and several who
  44. offered to run the next one.
